A group of friends stopped in after the St. Pattys Day parade on Sunday. The bar was CROWDED, but we got right in for a quieter setting in back, which was pretty empty. We started with a classic flight. *The Rubber ducky (hop infused gin, grapefruit, basil and lemon) *Rocket queen (pomegranate vodka, pomegranate hibiscus and bitters) *The Stunna (cucumber tequila,blackberry, lemon, agave) *El pastor (tequila, ancho reyes verde, charred pineapple, agave, cilantro). My absolute favorite was El pastor. It was just the right amount of kick. Rubber ducky comes in second. Rocket queen was a little too bitter, the stunna was a tad too sweet. We got the sriracha buffalo lollipop chicken wings. They came with a side of carrots and celery, but sliced thin with ranch, almost like a little salad rather than the traditional ranch and veggies. We also go the Cool ranch crispy chicken sliders. Fried chicken, ranch seasoning, pickles, creamy slaw, truffle ranch on a potato roll. I cannot believe how DELICIOUS this chicken was. It was so juicy, savory, finger licking good. Our server was simply amazing. As BUSY as the place was, she kicked a** as busting tablets by herself!

I booked an event here for my birthday and it was such an easy process. Brittney was wonderful to work with, the prices were great, and the event area was perfect. I had never been to the second floor balcony before but it was a great area. Our bartender Halley was lovely, the food and drinks were great. I will definitely be coming back!!

We recently stopped by to sample their cocktails and grab a small bite to eat. My gf and I ordered the ECS Classics flight and our friend ordered the chicken & waffle bites. The cocktails were fantastic, each with its own unique flavor, and the chicken & waffle bites were hot and tasty. The service was good, and the atmosphere was decent. However, a large group at the bar was a bit loud, which was somewhat distracting. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Visited for happy hour recently and didn't eat so I can't speak for the food. The drink menu, however, offered several fun and creative cocktails and mocktails - it was hard to choose! The interior is uniquely decorated with personalized comics and stuck to the rubber duck theme. The bar was long and large with other rooms for dining. The bartenders were very attentive and provided good recommendations on drinks. Everything we tried was refreshing!

This was my first time visiting, but the aura was nice and the food was solid. Our waitress was a bit clumsy but the deviled eggs made up for this. I didn't enjoy the salmon sliders as they tasted a bit old. Sweet potatoes were par for the course. Would visit again.

I visited Elm City Social for the first time during lunch of New Haven Restaurant Week. I sat at the bar, which has a cool industrial vibe. There is also a nice dining room in the back of the restaurant. Service was friendly and efficient. For around $25, they offered three appetizer choices and three main choices. The theme was "Southern Lovin". I chose cheddar and chive biscuits with white gravy for my first course, and smothered catfish for my main. Both dishes were good. The catfish in particular was well executed. The fish was tender, but it had a thin crunchy layer on the outside. The Cajun gravy was mildly spiced, but well rounded flavor-wise. The gravy mixed in with the rice a bit, which gave it nice flavor too. I would definitely eat at Elm City Social again. 4.25 Stars

While Exploring New Haven and Yale University-we got thirsty and the outside facade of Elm City Social drew us in. The rubber ducky theme (I recently found a rubber ducky on vacation -memorial tribute to a young woman who passed away suddenly) peaked my curiosity. Of course we had to order this signature drink!! We ended up drinking two. First one was meh (more gin and bubbles). The second one the grapefruit stood out more and it was delish! Also got a mango fruit cocktail which was fab. Learned they have a sister bar that offers a rubber piggy (Olive and Oil) and will soon open a rooftop bar offering a tiki turtle. We plan to visit them all to add to our rubber critter collection! Fun marketing idea!
